Springfield, MO – October 13, 2014, D3 TECHNOLOGIES, the Leader in Autodesk manufacturing solutions, announces the acquisition of the business assets of Vector Graphics, Inc. (VGI), an Autodesk solutions and services provider based in Lafayette, Louisiana. This addition to D3 creates a powerful formation of best-in-class expertise and support for both the manufacturing and oil and gas industries. Also, with this strategic acquisition, D3 will now serve both the Central U.S. and Gulf Coast regions with Autodesk Manufacturing and Process Plant solutions, coupled with a strong team of engineering, design, simulation, process automation, and programming professionals.
Personnel from Vector Graphics joined the D3 team and will continue to serve customers in the Louisiana and Gulf Coast areas. Among those are former VGI owners Zed LaCour & Vaughn Klos, Business Development Manager Chad Guidry, and Instructor Shawn Budden.
“We are incredibly excited for our VGI customers,” said Zed LaCour, former President of Vector Graphics. “Not only will clients continue to work with our personnel, but combined with D3, we’ll be able to provide customers the entire portfolio of Autodesk Manufacturing and Plant Solutions. We will all benefit from the unsurpassed level of customer service, support, training and consulting services that D3 brings to the table.”
One of the most important factors of this acquisition for both D3 and VGI is ongoing client support and consistency. “We have tremendous pride in the level of customer service we’ve provided our clients over the years, and I don’t know that I could’ve supported a deal like this with any other Autodesk partner besides D3,” said Vaughn Klos, Founder & former Vice President of Vector Graphics. “It’s evident that D3’s successes come from the never-ending commitment that the D3 team has to its clients,” Klos continued.
“We started with strategic partnership conversations,” stated Kevin Schlack, President of D3, of the firms’ preliminary discussions, “then ultimately, we realized there were tremendous synergies between our companies. Joining forces with VGI continues to support our founding purpose; to field a team of experts to help our manufacturing customers be the absolute best at what they do,” Schlack continued. “As our professional services and consulting team continues to grow, we always focus on the customer first and foremost.”
With its expertise in Autodesk solutions and a strong services bench, D3 also provides strategic training, programming, and consulting services for other Autodesk reseller partners throughout the country. D3’s team will partner with other Autodesk partners to provide services and support for products such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Inventor ETO, Autodesk Plant, AutoCAD P&ID, CAM, Simulation, Autodesk Vault, Data Management, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Autodesk is very excited about the D3 and VGI announcement,” states Autodesk’s Bill Griffin, VP of Worldwide Manufacturing & Channel Sales. “The collective D3 team will continue to provide its already proven recipe for customer success to a larger base of Autodesk customers. This is an exciting time for the manufacturing and process plant clients in the Central US and Gulf Coast.”
VGI clients can continue to interact with former VGI personnel as they always have and will begin to receive information regarding applicable changes throughout the month of October 2014. Any questions can be routed to: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 877.731.7171
