Acquires Autodesk Manufacturing Interests from CADVisions
Springfield,
Missouri -
January 1, 2007 - D3 TECHNOLOGIES announces the purchase of the
Autodesk manufacturing interests from CADVisions of Dallas,
Texas. Effective January 1, 2007, CADVisions will be referring
their manufacturing clients in both Kansas and Oklahoma to D3.
CADVisions will continue to focus their efforts within the
Architectural and Civil industries in the two-state area while
maintaining their Autodesk manufacturing interests in Dallas, TX.
Both D3 and CADVisions feel that this agreement will provide their
customers and clients with the focus they need in their respective
industries.
Roy Burchfield,

D3 Opens Office in St. Louis & Wichita
D3
TECHNOLOGIES announces the opening of a new office in St. Louis
, MO and Wichita , KS . Recognizing its continued strength and
growth in the MCAD market, D3 provides the St. Louis and Wichita
areas with an Autodesk partner that is focused specifically and
entirely on the manufacturing industry.
With the St.
Louis office come two very industry-experienced and talented
employees: Patrick McClanahan and Sam Orr. Patrick, Regional
Sales Manager, has worked within the CAD/CAM industry for over
19 years starting out as a System Engineer working on
proprietary Unix workstations and MicroVaxes. Patrick has worked
the last 5 years for Autodesk, Inc. as a Territory Sales
Manager. With his extensive background in the manufacturing
industry and having resided in St. Louis for 11 years he
understands the area's needs and works to help clients find a
solution that works best for them.
Sam Orr,
Application Engineer for St. Louis , has an extensive resume of
experience within the CAD manufacturing industry and Autodesk
software as well. He has worked in the design industry for over
eight years and has an Associates of Applied Science in Drafting
Technology and Business Management. He has knowledge in a wide
variety of CAD design programs including AutoCAD versions 13
through 2007 as well as Autodesk Inventor versions 7 through 11
and Mechanical Desktop.
D3 also
welcomes two new talented team members in the Wichita office:
Kent Douglas and Trish Gillen. Kent, Application Engineer for
the Wichita office, has a multitude of professional experience
within the manufacturing and CAD industry. Kent has worked with
several companies around the Kansas area including York
International, Kice Industries, and Mac Equipment. Kent also
has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drafting and Design from
Montana State Northern as well as an Associates of Science
degree in Drafting and Design from Cowley County College. He is
also well trained in a wide variety of CAD programs including
Mechanical Desktop, Solidworks, MasterCam, and Autodesk
Inventor. Kent has also recently achieved Autodesk Inventor
Certified Expert status for his extensive knowledge and
expertise in Autodesk Inventor software.
Trish Gillen
joins team D3 as Regional Sales Manager for the Wichita office.
She has an impressive resume of sales experience and a Bachelors
Degree of Business Administration in Management from Pittsburg
State University . Trish has had previous experience as a Field
Sales Administrator, Publishing Consultant, Technology Sales
Consultant and much more. With her technology training
background and extensive sales experience, Trish will make a
welcome addition to D3's sales team.
D3 is very
excited to be able to represent the local manufacturing
communities in both St. Louis and Wichita , and looks forward to
building strong relationships with its partners in the area.
With such talented and industry-experienced employees, D3 is

Springfield, MO: New Office on Kearney
Coming Soon
Construction on the new D3 Springfield
office began in November of 2006 with completion expected sometime
near Spring of 2007. The new office will be located on 4600 W.
Kearney, near the Springfield/Branson Regional Airport. The
location near the airport will make the office more accessible to
clients as well as provide them with a state-of-the-art training
facility. Groundbreaking ceremonies will be announced when date
of completion becomes more apparent.

Inventor 11:
Drawing Tangent Lines from
Arc/Circle to Arc/Circle
If you want to draw a tangent line from one arc/circle to
another arc/circle all you need to do is when you start the
line command, keep your left mouse button pressed down, and
when you move your cursor, you'll notice the line following
off the circle staying tangent. Then move your cursor the
next circle so the tangent constraint shows up and release the
button.
