PSPs comprise an elevated level of the Autodesk Value Added Reseller program, which incorporates Autodesk software solutions along with proven and measurable technical expertise in a specific industry or unique business. PSPs provide their customers with full solutions from pre- and post-sales support, to training, implementation, and customization. They work closely with Autodesk so that the PSPs' customers maximize their return on investment in Autodesk software solutions.

To qualify for the Autodesk PSP status, a VAR must demonstrate technical and industry expertise that includes a strong knowledge of customers' business needs in the areas of Civil Solutions and Mapping, Architecture, Manufacturing, Collaboration, Government or Education. Each qualified PSP has demonstrated the ability to meet rigorous sales, personnel, and customer service measurements. Autodesk considers those chosen for PSP status to be experts at implementing the Autodesk Solutions of a particular product division or customer type. The PSPs also have proven customer references and testimonials to support their level of expertise and commitment to customer success.
The six types of PSPs are Manufacturing Specialist, Civil Solutions and Mapping Specialist, Architectural Specialist, Collaboration Specialist, Government Specialist and A+ Academic Specialist.
